William Robards Jouett was the 7th child and 4th son of Jack Jouett. He spent most of his life as a soldier, eventually rising to the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. His 2nd wife was the niece of President Zachary Taylor. William, his wife, and 4 of their children are buried in the family plot at the Zachary Taylor National Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
